About Ankur Dharia
Ankur Dharia, DPM, opened Jersey Foot & Ankle Institute in 2008 to provide patients in Hillsborough, NJ and surrounding areas with the comprehensive and expert care of all ailments pertaining to the foot and ankle.
In late 2024, Dr. Dharia partnered with Premier Med Group, a multi-specialty healthcare group with 12 conveniently located offices throughout Central New Jersey. This partnership offers Dr. Dharia the perfect platform to continue providing top-tier foot & ankle services to the community.
Dr. Dharia graduated from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine in 2004 and specializes in podiatry and podiatric surgery. He is certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery and is a Diplomate of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgery.
From diabetic foot wounds to fractures of the foot & ankle to bunions, hammertoes, and warts, Dr. Dharia covers most every foot care need. With special interests in the diabetic foot, trauma, and revisional surgery, he takes pride in achieving excellent outcomes and meeting the expectations of the patients he treats.

Only you and your podiatrist or surgeon can determine the best time for you to have bunion repair surgery. Factors like your age, the severity of your bunion or bunions, your level and types of physical activity, other foot and ankle conditions like hammertoes, other health conditions that may impact your surgery and healing, etc. Some people may choose to correct bunions while they’re mild, while others may prefer to wait.
